A Fundraising Program Assessment provides an in depth review and analysis of the client’s development program. It can be part of a campaign planning process but is also an effective tool for organizational leadership especially in organizations with young development programs or those seeking a thorough program productivity evaluation.

The Fundraising Program Assessment is a collaborative process between the client and counsel. The assessment begins with a request for data and supporting materials from the client which serves as an organizational self-study while providing counsel critical information regarding past fundraising performance, budgets, policies, staff structure and job descriptions, and program publications. Following the analysis of these materials, M. E. Grace counsel interviews institutional leaders, key volunteer leadership and program staff to assess effectiveness and identify strengths and areas of challenge.

The completed assessment report contains:

  • Specific short and long-term development objectives for the client organization
  • Recommended resource levels, organizational structure and activity expectations
  • A specific action plan and timeline to implement the recommended changes to achieve organizational fundraising objectives
